 "With the immenant collapse of the SSC  I decided to return to Europe to work on the world's highest energy machine, LEP. John Dainton, also on SSC at the time, gave me the opportunity to join Liverpool University recently energised by Erwin Gabathuler.

DELPHI

 Was one of 4 large experiments at the  CERNs Large Electron Positron Collider (LEP)

 I;y physocs outputs included the first measurement of the lifetime of b-mesons using hadronic vertices (which significantly changed to world average towards its current value) and methods of extracting the trilinear gauge couplings in the electroweak sector.
