First results from g-2

Updated: Apr 17, 2021

Our first results from g-2 are released and published.

These now mean the difference with the Standard Model Prediction stands at about 4.2σ i.e. have about a 1:40000 chance of being a statistical fluke.

These results depend on our tracking straw chambers designed and built 2014-2016 in Liverpool.

There are lots of news articles out there. You can find a few more photos of our detectors here.

We have a couple of local commentaries from the Liverpool team and an opinion piece in the CERN Courier.
