 "At this point I was really motivated to discover and stufy the Higgs. The natural choice was SSC. I was lucky to join Bob Webb and Peter McIntyre at Texas A&M and became an SSC Fellow.

 The Superconducting SuperCollider Was the Higgs Machine that never got built

 The experiments were in the early phase of design, so I concentrated on detctor/technology and design. Peter McIntyre was   proposing "knife edge detectors"  later to become MSGCs, and that is what I stared developing.
